Quality Sleepwear You’ll Pass Down for Generations

When I was first thinking about creating sosom, I knew three things to be true. I knew I wanted my garments to be sustainably sourced, ethically made in the United States and give back to the communities that we would be in. If I could stand back and check those three boxes off at launch, my job would be done. While I have so much more work to do and many lessons to learn - I can happily say "I did it!"

Step one was sourcing the highest quality goods. From the cotton to the buttons and every stitch in between I wanted my garments to meet the incredibly high standards for quality and craftsmanship that my grandfather lived by. This meant feeling and sourcing tons of fabrics and looking at what felt like hundreds of buttons before picking the very best to use (while of course making sure they were all coming from reputable mills and artisans)!

Now that I had the goods, the next step was finding a manufacturer state-side that matched sosom's values. After numerous steps in the wrong direction and many many months passed, I finally found a perfect match in Los Angeles and we were off to the races and ready to move on to packaging!

The experience of opening something beautiful is half the fun in ordering something for yourself, so I knew that the packaging had to match the same level of detail and care that went into making the pajamas. From the tissue to the tape, every box is packed with you in mind and the best part is, all sosom packaging is made from recycled materials and are either compostable or fully recyclable! With the product and packaging ready to go, the last thing I had to finalize was community.

In the early stages of creating sosom, I knew giving back would be at the forefront of what the brand is and what we would ultimately stand for. It is important to give back to the communities that have helped raise us. That is why, a percentage of all sosom proceeds benefit the programs in our communities that are making a difference. Our mission is to help local organizations across the United States empower and encourage our youth to become the best versions of themselves. Starting in Alabama and California, sosom will be donating time and resources to the BackPack Program in our efforts to ease food insecurity and childhood hunger.

To everyone who has supported me along the way, I cannot thank you enough and I am so excited to see what the future holds! This is only the beginning and I cannot wait to share more soon!
